About

The Green Wagon (affectionately named after the founder’s 1982 station wagon that runs on waste veggie oil) houses a classic collection of general store merchandise, with everything from cleaning supplies to clothing to shampoo to crib mattresses. The store features a “refilling station” where customers can refill their bottles with products like shampoo and household cleaners at a discounted price, instead of buying new containers. A large portion of the products in The Green Wagon inventory are made locally, therefore reducing the business’ and customers’ carbon footprint that would normally occur during the shipping process and supporting the local economy!

The Green Wagon has strict standards for the products we represent. Our commitment to filtering only the best products for you and the earth is our highest priority. Please visit our online store thegreenwagon.com or our brick & mortar location to find the products you are looking for. We strive to make shopping with an environmentally-friendly focus easy and affordable.

Jennifer Casale

Jennifer Casale is an environmental consultant and the Founder & CEO of The Green Wagon, LLC. While sitting at a red light, driving from store to store in search of eco-friendly products, Jennifer thought to herself,

“Why isn’t someone making it their job to make shopping in an environmentally-responsible way easier?”

The concept of The Green Wagon was born that night, and she proceeded to make it her job. The business is affectionately named after her 1982 station wagon that runs on waste veggie oil.

Jennifer taught recycling and water conservation at Tucson, Arizona-area schools for two years before moving back to Nashville to open the first Green Wagon location in January of 2009. She is available for consulting to businesses, events, and schools.
